Alpha seems a stretch for a Dane! Otto seems like a really laid back boy. He is doing great I am guessing about 50#'s . Has been on vacation well behaved, to the airport, walked on the walking escalator w/trepidation ,likes the water and is working on getting more confident w/the horses. Has been totally housebroken for over a month sleeps like a sailor. I find he isn't what you would call a really ON dog as far as being really super eager to achieve but he is willing most of the time. For fun I am going to see a new litter of Harls on friday 2 weeks old. check out the website montcalmharls.com Hoping to start an uppervalley dane club in this area as we are to far from the NE dane club in Boston.
Feel like danes are like potato chips you can't have just one! Wish someone would start a thread ,survey on how many danes per household hint
    As always
    Have a great dane day!

Hi Liz.... Your website was a broken link so I was unable to view. Wow... a trip through the airport? I hope that Otto traveled well. Shanti is not as good as Otto with the House Broken thing. She gets to go over very often but she will piddle if you don't watch her closely. She is a great dog and when she gets wound up she is bouncing all over the place. She often chases our little Dachsund through the house.... I have beed feeding Shanti RAW chicken (a few hotdogs and eggs) for a week now. She is up to 30 pounds but still more skinny than Otto. That Dane group sounds like alot of fun! We have so many of our own dogs, foster dogs and visitors at our place that we enjoy the peaceful moments. You are quite ambitious to take on another Dane! Love your pictures John! Shanti looks great too. The cat doesn't seem to be having any trouble either LOL

Thanks Liz.... That black cat is tough but very suspicious of strangers (hides). Shanti has plenty of other animals to socialize with and she may just be the Alpha when she gets full grown. Uh... Alpha among dogs but socks may still rule. :-) How is Otto getting along? John
